Marlen is a strategic storyteller, marketer, communications leader and bilingual media spokesperson. Following her graduation from Cornell University, Marlen returned to her hometown of Chicago and has helped various organizations tell their story and bring their visions to life through strategic social media planning and creative content creation.
Before joining the team at Josephinum, Marlen led the digital marketing efforts and served as the Spanish spokesperson for Navy Pier, the top Midwest destination, which welcomes over 9 million guests each year. She played a pivotal role in developing and executing the strategy for Navy Pier's reopening after a 10 month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a campaign that included a robust lineup of special events and programs.
